Privacy Policy
Effective: 27 October 2026
Moniora is a personal finance app made by Publiora Indonesia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Moniora. The short version: your money data stays on your phone. We never receive it.
1. Who is responsible
Publiora Indonesia is the controller for the little personal data we do receive (see section 4). Contact: support@publiora.id.
2. What Moniora keeps on your phone
To work, Moniora stores on your device:
- transactions, accounts and balances you enter, and the items in them;
- budgets, categories, regular payments it finds, and debts you record (including a name and, if you add one, a phone number for reminders);
- settings such as language, currency and payday;
- if you turn on automatic recording: the text of notifications from the supported banking and payment apps, so Moniora can record payments for you;
- if you scan a receipt: the photo, read on your phone and kept at most one day.
This data is encrypted on your device and protected by the Android system. Moniora currently has no permission to use the internet, so it cannot send this data anywhere. We do not have a copy and cannot see it.
3. Things handled by your phone, not by us
- Fingerprint, face and screen lock are checked by Android. Moniora only learns "unlocked" or "not unlocked". We never receive biometric data.
- Receipt reading uses a text-recognition model provided by Google Play services, which runs on your phone. Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to Google Play services.
- Notification access is a permission you grant in Android settings and can withdraw at any time.
- Voice input uses the speech recognition service on your phone, usually provided by Google. Moniora asks for the microphone only when you tap the mic, receives the recognised text and never the recording. Where your phone has the language downloaded, recognition happens on the phone. Otherwise the speech service may send the audio to its provider under that provider's own terms. You can always type instead.
- Automation apps such as Tasker can send payments to Moniora only after you switch this on. Those entries wait for you to check them.
4. Information you choose to send us
We only receive information when you send it yourself:
- Support emails and problem reports. When you write to us or use "Report a problem", your email app sends us your email address, your message and, if you leave it ticked, your app version, Android version and phone model. Crash reports contain technical details only (no amounts, names or accounts), and you can read them before sending.
- Files you share. If you send us a backup or a recording to help fix a problem, we use it only for that and delete it when done.
We use this information only to answer you and improve Moniora. Our legal basis is your request (and, in the EU/UK, our legitimate interest in providing support). We keep support emails for up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Our email provider may store messages outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or share personal information, do not use it for advertising, and do not build profiles about you.
5. Backups and exports
Backups and spreadsheet exports are files you create and store where you choose (for example your own cloud drive). Backups are encrypted with a password only you know; we cannot open them or recover the password. Where you store them is governed by that service's terms.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export the information we hold about you (section 4), or object to how we use it. Write to support@publiora.id; we reply within 30 days.
Everything on your phone is already under your control: you can export it, back it up, or erase it entirely with More → Your data → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app.
- EU / UK (GDPR): you also have the right to restrict processing and to complain to your data protection authority.
- Indonesia (UU PDP No. 27/2022): you have the rights of a data subject under that law, including to withdraw consent and to file a complaint.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
7. Children
Moniora is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where the law requires). We do not knowingly receive their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
On your phone, data is encrypted with a key protected by Android's secure key storage, and you can add an app lock. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your phone's screen lock on and your backups' passwords private.
9. Future features
If we add features that need an account or the internet (for example sign-in, sync between devices, or paid plans), we will update this policy and tell you in the app before they collect anything new. Such features will be optional.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
